Trauma
Understanding
how trauma, both past and present life, is at the root of many disorders.
Trauma,
stored in the brain affects the individual's ability to cope and function
normally. As a result of unresolved trauma, individuals experience
feeling overwhelm, irritiable and an inability to regulate his/her
emotions. In summary, a survival-based mentality is created, causing
immense internal stressors to bombarb the individual's conscious and
subconscious mind.
External
stressors, including loud noises, challenging homework assignments
or a lifestyle that lacks consistency and structure, often triggers
stored unresolved past trauma. As a result of this kindling, reoccuring
emotions flood the mind with anger, fear and hurt. The sympathic nervous
system engages in cycling
neurophrephine and adrenaline into the blood stream to prepare for
fight, flight or freeze.
Cortisol, an intense brain chemical is secreted into the blood, flooding
the individual with excititory hormones, creating a bio-chemical 'blast'.
These hormones block the body's ability to experience hunger or produce
seretonin, the feeling good hormone or trythiphane, used as a precurser
for the production of melatonin, a hormone that relaxes the mind when
its time to sleep.
This
altered state induces a bio-chemical manic high, while the body suffers
from exhaustion as natural sleeping and eating rhythms are ignored
or distorted.
Internal
demands for natural salts, enzymes and vitamin Bs are elevated as
stressors engage the endocrine, respiratory and lympathic systems.
When nutritional needs are not met sufficiently, instability, overwhelm,
irritability and fatigue are experienced. Eventually
the body gives way to depression as the body becomes depleted of nutrients
necessary to function properly.
As
neurons repeatedly carry the fear response from the brain to the CNS
(central nervous system), dendrites are stripped of their protective
myelin sheathing. As a result, individuals experience feeling unprotected,
boundriless and out of control.
*Essential
fatty acids in the form of Omega 3 oils are necessary for rebuilding
our protective membranes.
If
the individual's life style is compounded by stressful events, subluxations
in the central nervous system begin to form.
These
subluxations interfere within the central nervous system's ability
to properly orchestrate all other systems in the body, compromising
our immune system, brain and organs.

*A
vast number of undignosable and untreatable (yet healable) auto immune
illnesses prevalent in the United States are caused by a life style
of over 'doing. An imbalance which affects our ability and
desire to care for our selves and simply 'be' (enough).
You

home to your heathly, loving, whole self, with the assistance of an
experienced, supportive team.
